BNB Chain extends tokenized ETF dominance as market value surges

BNB Chain has cemented its lead in the tokenized ETF sector, adding $80.9 million in market value over the last 30 days. This significant uptick clearly outpaced rivals and underscored a growing divergence in the blockchain-based investment landscape.

Today, August 5, 2026, data shows this development highlights an accelerating adoption of tokenized exchange-traded funds. However, growth is unevenly distributed across various networks, with issuers increasingly favoring ecosystems demonstrating faster performance and greater efficiency.

BNB Chain’s growing influence in tokenized markets

BNB Chain tokenized ETFs attracted $80.9 million in new market value over the past 30 days. 9 million in new market value for tokenized ETFs over the past 30 days. This figure sharply contrasts with Solana’s $12.5 million value growth, indicating a substantial shift in activity among blockchain networks.

While Base and Robinhood chains saw smaller increases, major players like Ethereum experienced a $2.1 million decline. Arbitrum also recorded a net decline of $4.5 million, highlighting intensified competition within the tokenized ETF space.

This uneven distribution suggests that maintaining momentum could further strengthen BNB Chain’s position as a critical infrastructure provider for digital assets. Binance’s bStocks product, launched around June 10-11, 2026, has been a key catalyst in this expansion.

Its introduction significantly propelled BNB Chain’s tokenized stock market. By June 26, 2026, cumulative decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume for tokenized stocks on BNB Chain surpassed $5 billion, with a total market capitalization exceeding $1 billion.

This rapid growth continued through July. Total on-chain DEX volume for tokenized stocks across platforms reached approximately $7.05 billion by late June 2026.

By July 28, 2026, cumulative trading volume for tokenized stocks on BNB Chain had crossed $7 billion. Just two days later, on July 30, 2026, it surged past $15 billion, with market capitalization nearing $1.5 billion.

By mid-July 2026, the overall tokenized stock market reached $2.3 billion in market capitalization. BNB Chain held a significant share of nearly 30% of this wider market.

As of July 23, 2026, BNB Chain supported over 709 tokenized stocks and ETFs, demonstrating the breadth of its offerings. This robust selection contributes to its appeal for issuers and traders.

Institutional flows and established tokenization platforms

While tokenized ETFs across various assets exhibit competitive dynamics, tokenized U.S. treasuries present a distinct pattern. Institutional capital shows a clear preference for established leaders rather than a broad market spread.

Securitize, a digital asset securities firm, remains at the forefront of this trend. As of February 2026, Securitize had tokenized over $4 billion in assets across more than 100 issuances and 550,000 investor accounts.

A March 2026 report estimated Securitize accounted for approximately 70% of the U.S. tokenization market. This significant market presence highlights institutional investors’ prioritization of scale, liquidity, and operational maturity when deploying capital on the blockchain.

BlackRock’s BUIDL fund, launched in March 2024, also aligns with this pattern. This tokenized money market fund channels institutional interest into blockchain-native U.S. Treasury yields for qualified investors.

These developments suggest tokenized treasuries will likely remain a primary gateway for institutions entering real-world asset tokenization. BlackRock partnered with Securitize for the tokenization of BUIDL, with Bank of New York Mellon providing custody for the underlying assets.

Key drivers behind BNB Chain’s platform growth

BNB Chain’s ascendancy isn’t accidental; it’s driven by a combination of strategic advantages and robust technological infrastructure. These factors collectively attract both issuers and users to its ecosystem.

One primary draw is the ability to offer 24/7 trading for tokenized assets. This feature allows market participants to react instantly to global news and events, transcending traditional market hours.

The network also boasts significantly lower transaction costs compared to rival blockchains, particularly Ethereum. This cost-efficiency makes frequent trading and smaller transactions more economically viable for users.

High throughput capabilities ensure BNB Chain can process substantial transaction volumes rapidly. This reduces congestion and contributes to faster block confirmation times, enhancing the user experience.

Composability further strengthens BNB Chain’s appeal. Tokenized assets can be readily integrated into decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, serving as collateral on lending platforms like Venus Protocol and Lista.

This allows users to leverage equity positions without selling them. The network also fosters fractional ownership, making high-value assets accessible to a broader range of investors, democratizing investment opportunities.

As the world’s largest smart contract blockchain by daily active users, BNB Chain offers an expansive and engaged community. This large user base naturally boosts liquidity and market access for tokenized assets.

Strategic partnerships also play a crucial role. Ondo Global Markets offers over 430 tokenized assets on BNB Chain, leading the overall tokenized stock market with approximately $955 million in issued on-chain equities as of mid-July 2026.

xStocks, a product from Kraken, contributes over 50 tokenized assets to the market. Kraken announced a strategic partnership with BNB Chain on July 9, 2025, to integrate xStocks, further diversifying the offerings and contributing approximately $507 million in equity value by mid-July 2026.

Backed Finance, which partners with Kraken for xStocks, natively issues tokens on BNB Smart Chain. Giorgio Giuliani, Head of Product at Backed, highlighted that this expansion allows clients to choose the most suitable chain for their needs, reaching a large user base, reducing costs, and improving market access for tokenized real-world assets.

Binance’s bStocks are 1:1 backed by underlying assets, meaning each token represents one actual share held in custody. Chainlink Proof of Reserve provides cryptographic verification for this backing, adding a layer of trust.

Furthermore, Backed Finance ensures regulatory compliance by issuing tokens under Swiss regulations. Tokenized stocks on BNB Chain are issued as BEP-20 tokens, fully collateralized by underlying assets, with the 1:1 backing relying on trusted custodial arrangements.

Issuers like Backed Finance also utilize the Chainlink interoperability standard (CCIP) to facilitate secure flow of tokenized ETFs across different blockchains. The Chainlink compliance standard (ACE) helps automate identity and eligibility checks, streamlining operations.

Broader real-world asset tokenization outlook

BNB Chain’s leadership in tokenized ETFs is contributing to a broader transformation within the tokenized asset market. Institutions are beginning to explore asset classes beyond traditional government debt, signaling a maturing ecosystem.

The active real-world asset (RWA) market has expanded considerably, now estimated to be between $29 billion and $37 billion. This growth reflects a fundamental shift in how institutions view tokenization.

They are increasingly perceiving tokenization as essential financial infrastructure rather than a niche application. This broader participation is crucial for sustained market expansion, moving beyond sole reliance on government debt.

Industry projections forecast significant future growth for the tokenized asset market. Boston Consulting Group projects the tokenized asset market to reach $10 trillion by 2030, an increase from roughly $300 billion in 2024.

Citi Institute also projects the tokenized asset market to hit $5.5 trillion by 2030. They estimate that 10% of the U.S. Treasuries market, approximately $800 billion, could be tokenized by then, underscoring the immense potential of this evolving sector.
