Bitcoin ETFs Give Back $167M After Their Strongest Inflow Run of 2026

The Bitcoin ETFs that had just delivered their strongest three-week stretch of the year are suddenly moving in the opposite direction. U.S.-listed spot funds recorded $120.2 million in net outflows on Wednesday, pushing their combined withdrawals for the first two sessions of the holiday-shortened week to $166.8 million.

It is a sharp change of mood, but not yet a collapse. The latest withdrawals amount to roughly 4.4% of the $3.8 billion pulled into the funds during their recent three-week winning streak.

Wednesday was led by the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF, known as ARKB, which lost $78 million. Grayscale’s GBTC followed with $27.2 million in redemptions, while BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, or IBIT, shed another $19.5 million.

Morgan Stanley’s Bitcoin Trust was the lone fund to finish the session with an inflow, adding $4.5 million.

The numbers make Wednesday notable for another reason: it was the second consecutive day of outflows. That had not happened since a three-day withdrawal streak that ended on August 14.

Across Tuesday and Wednesday, GBTC took the biggest hit, losing $92.7 million. ARKB posted $69.9 million in combined redemptions, while IBIT saw outflows of $8.8 million.

Bitcoin ETFs Are Cooling Off. Should Anyone Be Surprised?

The timing matters because the two-day reversal comes immediately after a period of unusually strong demand.

The latest three-week stretch brought $3.8 billion into Bitcoin ETFs, making it the strongest such run of 2026 so far. Even after the recent withdrawals, the funds have accumulated roughly $55 billion in net inflows since their launch.

The bigger 2026 picture, however, is more complicated. Across the full year, Bitcoin ETFs are still sitting at about $1.07 billion in net outflows, according to Farside Investors data cited in the source.

In other words, the latest pullback is significant enough to notice, but it does not erase the broader story of institutional access to Bitcoin through regulated investment products.

And the rest of the ETF market is telling a more mixed story.

Bitcoin ETFs Turn Lower as Ether and Solana Funds Bounce Back

Spot Ether ETFs attracted $34.7 million on Wednesday, reversing the $24.3 million they lost on Tuesday. That left the group with a modest $10.4 million net inflow for the week so far.

BlackRock’s ETHB was the strongest performer, taking in $22.9 million, followed by its ETHA fund with $9.7 million. The 21Shares TETH product added another $2.1 million. The remaining Ether ETFs recorded no net flow.

Solana funds also swung back into positive territory. After losing about $700,000 on Tuesday, U.S. spot Solana ETFs brought in $11.2 million Wednesday, lifting their two-day total to $10.5 million.

Every dollar of Wednesday’s Solana ETF inflow went into Bitwise’s BSOL.

Hyperliquid ETFs moved in the opposite direction. The funds lost another $5.3 million Wednesday, following $13 million in outflows the previous day. Their total withdrawal for the week reached $18.3 million.

So while Bitcoin ETFs are absorbing renewed selling pressure, Ether and Solana products are attracting fresh money. The split suggests investors are not simply abandoning crypto-related exchange-traded products wholesale.

Bitcoin itself was trading near $78,000 on Thursday, down from roughly $79,700 when the earlier three-week inflow figures were reported. Ether was around $2,470, while Solana hovered near $101, according to CoinGecko.

For now, the ETF story is less about panic than rotation, hesitation and the uneven flow of capital between major crypto assets. After three unusually strong weeks, Bitcoin ETFs are finally showing some resistance to the relentless inflow trend.

Whether that becomes a brief pause or the beginning of a longer shift will depend on what happens next.
