The BeInCrypto Stage is set to gather global leaders at Rio Innovation Week (RIW) 2026 from August 4 to August 7 at Píer Mauá in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Marking its fourth consecutive participation, BeInCrypto will dedicate a stage to exploring the future of finance. Discussions will center on how digital assets, artificial intelligence, and new technological architectures are reshaping the global financial system.

This event aims to bridge the evolving digital economy with traditional financial institutions, fostering essential dialogue among regulators, financial executives, and blockchain pioneers. The comprehensive program emphasizes the growing need for collaboration to advance financial infrastructure. Key figures from Brazilian and international organizations will lead these crucial conversations.

Connecting traditional finance and digital assets

The BeInCrypto Stage at RIW 2026 will serve as a critical forum for dialogue between established financial entities and the burgeoning digital asset ecosystem. Confirmed participants include representatives from Binance, the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), Visa, Circle, Nubank, BNY, Mercado Bitcoin, Solana Foundation, B3, Bradesco, Crypto.com, Ledger, Rezolve AI, and Tether. This extensive lineup underscores a widespread commitment to integrating emerging technologies.

Aline Fernandes, who curates the stage content, has highlighted BeInCrypto’s commitment to facilitating this crucial exchange. The event’s diverse roster, ranging from major payment providers to leading blockchain innovators, signals a maturing industry. Collaboration is becoming increasingly vital for navigating the complexities of modern finance.

Diverse representation highlights industry evolution

The presence of major traditional players, including Visa, BNY, and Bradesco, alongside crypto-native firms like Binance, Circle, and Tether, signifies a notable industry shift. It shows that digital assets and on-chain solutions are no longer peripheral topics. They are now integral to mainstream financial strategy and development.

Discussions on the stage will tackle a wide array of subjects. These include programmable money, tokenized assets, real-time settlement, artificial intelligence, and international payments. The breadth of topics reflects the comprehensive impact of these technologies on global financial systems.

Binance’s significant presence and key sessions

Binance is poised for a substantial presence at RIW 2026, participating in seven official sessions and hosting an interactive stand. Key executives will deliver insights throughout the event. Thiago Sarandy, Director-General of Binance in Brazil, will present the keynote “Tudo que seu dinheiro quiser ser: os superapps de finanças” on August 5.

Sarandy will also join representatives from Crypto.com and BNY on the “Crypto for billions: the race for the next generation of financial services” panel. Nelson Leite, Director of Products and Payments at Binance, will present “Do tradicional a cripto: inovação, disrupção e o novo futuro do seu dinheiro.”

He will also participate in a stablecoin panel alongside Eduardo Abreu (Visa), Sabrina Zaparroli (Nubank), Thomas Ayres (Circle), and Luís de Magalhães (BeInCrypto).

Vinícius Volpatte, Director of Operations and Strategy at Binance, will present a keynote titled “Encurtando o Caminho: Cripto como Infraestrutura de Mercado” on August 7. Volpatte will also join a panel discussing tokenized actions and new generation digital assets. His co-panelists include Guilherme Nazar (Z.ro Global), Humberto Costa (B3), Antonio Neto (Solana Foundation), and Mariana Maria.

Prediction markets and stablecoins take center stage

In-depth discussions on prediction markets and stablecoins will form a core part of the BeInCrypto Stage program. These panels aim to address complex regulatory and technological questions. They are crucial for understanding the future trajectory of digital finance and its evolving landscape.

Decoding prediction markets and regulation

A highlight panel, “Who can price the future? Prediction markets, regulation and the new frontier of investments,” will feature João Accioly, Director of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). He’ll be joined by Roy Shaham, CEO of Rain Protocol, who is traveling from New York specifically for the conference.

They will explore whether regulated prediction markets represent the next evolution of derivatives or an entirely new asset class.

This discussion will delve into critical issues such as investor protection, financial innovation, and global competitiveness. Brazil’s CVM actively engages in these regulatory conversations. The panel offers an important platform to balance fostering innovation with safeguarding markets. Outcomes could shape the global adoption and scaling of these tools.

Stablecoins as new financial infrastructure

Stablecoins will also command significant attention during the “Money Never Sleeps Again” panel, focusing on their role in the new global financial infrastructure. Executives from Circle, Visa, and Nubank will lead this session. Their combined expertise will illuminate how programmable money transforms payments, treasury management, and financial services.

This conversation aims to solidify stablecoins as a foundational element of the new digital economy. With central banks globally exploring digital currencies and private stablecoins gaining traction, understanding their architectural implications is paramount. The panel offers insights into the collaborative efforts shaping stablecoin integration into global financial systems, particularly within dynamic markets like Brazil.

Shaping Brazil’s digital regulatory landscape

Regulation remains a central theme throughout the BeInCrypto Stage, specifically its impact on Brazil’s burgeoning digital asset industry. Discussions will examine the complexities of integrating digital innovations within existing legal frameworks. These conversations are vital for fostering sustainable growth and attracting institutional adoption across the nation.

Brazil’s evolving crypto framework

The panel “Is crypto FX? The regulatory debate that could reshape Brazil’s digital asset industry” will bring together legal specialists and industry leaders. They will discuss how Brazil’s evolving regulatory framework will influence innovation, institutional adoption, and the nation’s competitiveness in the digital economy. Distinguishing crypto as foreign exchange versus a new asset class holds significant implications for its governance and taxation.

Another strategic session, “What can the financial system learn from the onchain economy?”, will feature representatives from Mercado Bitcoin, Bradesco, and Binance. This panel will examine the convergence of Brazil’s highly successful Pix instant payment system with blockchain networks, programmable money, and real-time settlement. This convergence could unify two of the most significant models of financial innovation currently in play.

The emerging ‘crypto voter’ phenomenon

A timely discussion, “Does the crypto voter exist? How the digital economy reached the ballot box,” will be organized in partnership with Juntos por Cripto. This Brazilian movement, inspired by the international Stand With Crypto organization, aims to explore the growing influence of digital asset users in public debate.

The panel will examine the profile of the “crypto voter” and the potential role the sector could play in Brazil’s 2026 elections.

The Juntos por Cripto movement boasts a global network of over 3.75 million supporters. It has also facilitated roughly 1.2 million contacts with legislators worldwide. This panel underscores the increasing political weight of the digital economy, moving beyond purely technical or financial discussions to impact broader societal and governmental policies. The implications for policy-making in Brazil are significant.

BeInCrypto launches Experts Network Latin America

Adding another layer of significance to the event, BeInCrypto will launch the Latin American chapter of its Experts Network during RIW. This initiative aims to connect industry leaders across four global councils dedicated to strategic themes. These councils include Markets Intelligence; Legal & Regulatory; Institutional Strategy & On-Chain Finance; and Emerging Technologies & Artificial Intelligence.

Luís de Magalhães, BeInCrypto’s Team Lead for Latin America, articulated the ambition behind the Experts Network. He noted that while advancements like the CVM’s work on prediction market regulation and B3’s tokenized equities plans are significant, the people driving them rarely connect directly. Magalhães stated, “That connection is exactly what the council aims to create.”

This initiative underscores the core mission of the Experts Network: to convene disparate voices driving financial innovation and bridge existing gaps. The network seeks to foster a more unified approach to developing and regulating digital assets across the region. It is a proactive step towards formalizing knowledge sharing and strategic planning.

The comprehensive program, combined with the launch of the Experts Network Latin America, positions the BeInCrypto Stage as a pivotal forum. It serves not just as a platform for discussion but also as a catalyst for action and collaboration within the global digital financial transformation. Insights generated from these high-level dialogues are expected to resonate well beyond the week-long event.
