Zoomex expands stock perpetuals with new USDT margined contracts

Global cryptocurrency trading platform Zoomex has significantly expanded its Stock Perpetuals lineup. The company introduced new USDT margined contracts today, offering round-the-clock exposure to a broad range of United States equities. This strategic move means traders can now access leveraged positions on closely watched companies in sectors like healthcare, finance, and consumer goods, without the constraints of traditional market hours.

These new perpetuals cover a range of prominent U.S. sectors, allowing for both long and short positions on closely watched companies. This development caters to traders seeking immediate reactions to market-moving news and underscores the growing demand for 24/7 trading options in the derivatives space.

Opening up US equities to 24/7 trading

Zoomex’s latest listings arrive at a pivotal moment for tokenized stock perpetuals. This product category has quickly grown from a niche offering to one of the fastest-expanding segments within crypto derivatives in 2026. Traders are increasingly looking for leveraged, continuous access to equities, a feature traditional brokerages typically restrict to standard business hours, often for two-thirds of the week.

The platform’s approach emphasizes “Fair Access & Rule-Based Execution,” ensuring transparency for each new contract. Zoomex publishes the leverage cap, tick size, and funding rate ceiling upfront, providing crucial clarity for users. This commitment to transparency aims to build confidence in a market segment where understanding all contract parameters is vital.

These contracts operate on the same robust infrastructure as Zoomex’s existing USDT Perpetuals. This means no separate account or interface is required, simplifying the trading experience for current users. The seamless integration allows users to move effortlessly between crypto and equity exposures.

Operational mechanics for new contracts

Traders engaging with these new Stock Perpetuals will find a familiar set of operational features consistent across the platform. Most pairs support up to 25x leverage, providing significant exposure. However, some specific assets, such as Regeneron Pharmaceuticals (REGN) and PayPal Holdings (PYPL) cited in the original announcement, are capped at 20x leverage, reflecting perhaps a nuanced risk assessment.

The contracts also offer both cross and isolated margin modes, giving traders flexibility over their risk management strategies. All settlements occur in USDT, with funding rates adjusted every eight hours to maintain price alignment. A funding rate cap of 2.00% applies to most contracts, while REGN sees a slightly higher 2.50% cap.

This structure ensures 24/7 availability for both long and short positions, offering continuous market access.

The surging market for tokenized perpetuals

While tokenized equity perpetuals still make up a small fraction of the traditional stock market’s overall volume, the growth trajectory is undeniable. Market observers note that this gap is rapidly narrowing, with platforms like Zoomex playing a significant role in shaping how the category matures and expands.

For active investors, the practical advantages of these offerings are clear. The ability to open, adjust, or close positions instantly means traders can react to critical developments such as biotech readouts, bank earnings reports, or inflation data the moment they break. This responsiveness is available even if news lands outside regular trading hours, eliminating the need to wait for Monday’s opening bell.

The market for tokenized stocks has experienced remarkable expansion in recent years. It surpassed $1 billion in total market size as of March 18, 2026, with projections suggesting potential growth to the trillion-dollar level. This surge reflects increasing investor appetite for innovative access to real-world assets through blockchain technology.

Tokenized perpetuals became the fastest-growing coin category on CoinGecko between January 2024 and May 2026. During this period, the sector saw a 3,314% increase, expanding from 14 to 478 listed coins. Similarly, the total volume for Real World Asset (RWA) perpetuals reached $524.8 billion in the first quarter of 2026 alone, demonstrating significant market activity.

Traders on platforms like Zoomex can also track XRP price movements, which is available as a pair for automated contract grid trading, highlighting the diverse range of opportunities available.

Regulatory scrutiny and market challenges

Despite the rapid growth and clear benefits, the tokenized stock perpetuals market operates under increasing regulatory scrutiny, particularly in the United States. Regulators like the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) are actively working to develop new rules for these products.

In June 2026, SEC Director of Trading and Markets, Jamie Selway, articulated the commission’s intention to draft rules based on the principle of “innovation without arbitrage.” This approach suggests that tokenized products will be subject to existing regulations regardless of their underlying blockchain format. The SEC views tokenization as primarily changing infrastructure, not the regulatory perimeter itself.

Concerns also persist regarding liquidity and volatility within this nascent market. Dr. Elena Rodriguez, a financial technology professor at Stanford University, pointed out that market makers face significant challenges when hedging tokenized stock positions outside traditional market hours. This can potentially lead to wider spreads or a withdrawal of liquidity during off-hours, affecting price stability and execution for traders.

Analysts at JPMorgan, led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, voiced concerns in August 2026 about certain decentralized platforms offering such products. They cited issues like unlicensed derivatives trading, weak Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) controls, and potential market manipulation. Regulators are particularly focused on curbing excessive leverage exposure for retail investors, aiming to protect them from heightened risks inherent in these instruments.

Zoomex’s commitment to security and global reach

Zoomex, established in 2021, has cultivated a reputation as a global cryptocurrency trading platform with a strong focus on derivatives. It serves over 3 million users across more than 35 countries and regions, providing access to more than 700 trading pairs. The platform’s operational philosophy prioritizes “simplicity × ease of use × speed” in its core services.

The company’s commitment to security and compliance is evident through its use of a multi-signature cold/hot wallet system for asset protection. Zoomex holds a number of regulatory licenses, including Canada MSB, U.S. MSB, U.S. NFA, and Australia AUSTRAC. Furthermore, the platform has successfully undergone security audits conducted by the blockchain security firm Hacken.

Zoomex also reinforces trust through ongoing initiatives like Proof of Reserves and transparent fee mechanisms.

Beyond its core trading offerings, Zoomex continues to refine its platform with various features designed to enhance user experience. This includes a robust Strategy Center for backtesting and live strategy execution, along with copy trading functionality. The platform also recently launched Demo Trading on August 7, 2026, allowing users to practice futures trading with simulated funds without real financial risk.

Strategic growth and brand building

Zoomex has also built a refined brand experience through elite sports partnerships. The platform is an official partner of the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team and sponsors world-class tennis events such as Wimbledon. Additionally, World Cup-winning goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez serves as a global exclusive brand ambassador for Zoomex.

These partnerships align the platform with values of speed, precision, discipline, and fair play, reflecting its approach to derivatives trading.

The company’s global footprint is underscored by its presence in numerous countries, though it observes regulatory restrictions in regions such as the United States and Mainland China. This demonstrates a careful balance between aggressive market expansion and adherence to diverse regulatory frameworks worldwide.

Zoomex’s ongoing development suggests a long-term strategy to be a significant player in the evolving landscape of crypto derivatives, particularly as the demand for traditional asset exposure through digital means continues to grow.
